For Parents

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior and how it is affected by the environment. ABA therapy applies these principles to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and improve socially significant behaviors. It is widely recognized as an effective, evidence-based treatment for children with autism and developmental disorders.

How do I know if my child needs ABA therapy?

ABA therapy can benefit children who have difficulties with communication, social skills, learning, or behavior. If your child has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or another developmental disorder, or if you've noticed delays in their development or challenging behaviors, they may benefit from ABA therapy. We recommend scheduling a consultation with our team to discuss your child's specific needs and determine if our services are appropriate.

What does an ABA therapy session look like?

ABA therapy sessions are individualized based on each child's needs, but typically include a mix of structured teaching activities and naturalistic learning opportunities. Sessions may focus on developing communication skills, social interactions, play skills, self-help skills, or reducing challenging behaviors. Our therapists use positive reinforcement to motivate learning and celebrate achievements. Sessions are designed to be engaging and fun for the child while targeting specific goals outlined in their treatment plan.

How long does ABA therapy take to show results?

The timeline for seeing results varies depending on the child's individual needs, the intensity of therapy, and the specific goals being targeted. Some children may show improvements in certain behaviors within a few weeks, while other skills may take months to develop. We regularly assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. We believe in celebrating small victories along the way, as each step represents progress on your child's bright path.

How can parents be involved in their child's therapy?

Parent involvement is a crucial component of effective ABA therapy. We encourage parents to participate in therapy sessions when appropriate, learn techniques to support their child's progress at home, and maintain open communication with the therapy team. We provide parent training to help you understand your child's treatment plan and implement strategies consistently across environments. Regular meetings with the therapy team ensure that you're informed about your child's progress and can contribute to goal-setting and treatment planning.

Do you offer remote therapy options?

Yes, we offer remote therapy options for families who cannot access in-person services due to location or other constraints. Our telehealth services include direct therapy sessions with the child (with parent support), parent training and coaching, and consultation with other caregivers or professionals. While some aspects of therapy may be more challenging to implement remotely, we have developed effective strategies to provide quality services through virtual platforms.

For Professionals

What certifications do you provide supervision for?

We provide supervision for professionals pursuing QBA (Qualified Behavior Analyst), QASP-S (Qualified Autism Service Practitioner-Supervisor), and ABAT (Applied Behavior Analysis Technician) certifications. Our experienced supervisors offer guidance, feedback, and support throughout your certification journey, helping you develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field of behavior analysis.

How is supervision conducted?

Supervision can be conducted in-person or remotely, depending on your location and preferences. It typically includes regular one-on-one meetings, case reviews, observation of your work (either directly or through video), feedback on your performance, and guidance on ethical practice and decision-making. We tailor the supervision experience to meet your individual needs and the requirements of your certification program.

What are the requirements for entering your supervision program?

Requirements vary depending on the certification you're pursuing. Generally, you'll need to have completed certain educational requirements (such as a degree in a related field) and be working in a setting where you can apply behavior analysis principles. During our initial consultation, we'll review your background and goals to ensure our supervision program is a good fit for your needs and that you meet the prerequisites for your desired certification path.

What types of online training courses do you offer?

We offer a variety of online training courses for ABA professionals at different stages of their careers. Our course categories include Foundations of ABA (for beginners), Advanced Techniques (for experienced practitioners), Ethical Practice, Data Collection and Analysis, and Family Training. Each course is designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that you can apply in your work with individuals with autism and developmental disorders.

How are the online training courses structured?

You'll have access to the course materials 24/7 and can revisit them as needed. Most courses also include opportunities for discussion with instructors and peers, as well as practical assignments to apply what you've learned.

Do you offer continuing education credits for your courses?

Yes, many of our courses are eligible for continuing education credits for certified behavior analysts and other professionals. The specific credits available are listed in each course description.
